Laura and her husband Chris, also a clarinetist and teacher at the Pasadena Conservatory, direct a clarinet camp each summer at PCM. The camp is designed for students ages 13 and above, and each year, has had an exciting variety of intermediate students in their teens, college music majors, and adults who are serious about becoming better musicians and players. Students improve foundational skills such as breathing, embouchure, and articulation, perform solos with a pianist, perform in masterclasses with world-class guest teachers, and students perform chamber music together, culminating in a final concert at the end of the week.

Guest artists giving masterclasses have included Yehuda Gilad, Burt Hara, Michele Zukovsky, and

Donald Foster.
